YouFilter Privacy Policy

YouFilter does not collect, store, or share any personal data.

All filter settings, keyword lists, and channel preferences are stored locally in your browser using the Web Extensions Storage API. Daily filtering statistics (aggregate counts only) are stored locally on your device and automatically deleted after 30 days.

The only external network requests YouFilter makes are to the Google YouTube API when you explicitly choose to sync your YouTube subscriptions. This data is used solely to populate your channel whitelist and is stored locally in your browser. No data from this process is sent to YouFilter or any third party.

YouFilter does not collect:

  • Personal or contact information
  • Browsing history or web activity
  • Authentication credentials
  • Location data
  • Health, financial, or payment information
  • Website content
  • Keystroke, click, or scroll data

YouFilter has no analytics, no telemetry, no tracking, and no external servers. Your data never leaves your browser.
